Writing is Work

Unfortunately life has been busy, with travel, family, birthdays and work stuff. And so what little time I've had to myself I have spent writing.

Today I joined both the NanoWriMo, and 70 Days of Sweat with Sven.

I intend on working on a new ms. The working title for it is... The Way Home. For those of you who know me well enough to be familiar with my characters, it's Liz and Jessie's story, and yes, I know that Harlequin just cut the NEXT line, but I'm not stressing. It's still a great story and it'll find a home.

Sunday Baby Sunday

My youngest sister had her baby this morning; A boy, just ober 8 lbs, They've named him Gavin and both mom and baby seem to be doing well.

I've had no time to blog, barely any time to write, but thankfully my kids go back to school in a few weeks (oh the blessed silence).

I'm trying to behave, and not wish them away too soon. They are my girls after all, and I do love them, but I think 2 months off is just too much.

Tuesday's Tales

Okay, so I've had a really insane summer so far.

I'd been sick, I believe I mentioned that in an earlier post. do you think that slowed me down? Nope, although there were a few days that I really didn't wnt to get out of bed.

So far this summer, (besides listening to the endless litany of "I'm bored" and "I'm hungry" that goes hand in hand with being a mom who doesn't send her kids to summer camp) I've been to Texas and I've visited two of my three sisters. There have been countless birthday parties to ferry the kids back and forth to. My hubby is on this weird shift where he's home, and awake for a big chunk of the day and i've had number of projects due for the 9-5 gig.

When, you may ask, have you written? Well, the sad but true answer is; I haven't. But I'm getting back to it today. As soon as the coffee machine finishes brewing in fact.

In the meantime the stories are simmering, the heroes are all flirting with the tramp muse trying to get her to pay attention to them, and I have potato chips in the house.

Yes, my friends, I am cheating on the diet. The muse demands bbq chips and if I have any hope at all of finishing my current story by the end of this weekend then I must comply.
